October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Here are some common signs of domestic abuse from the National Domestic Violence Hotline
Domestic violence, or intimate partner violence, isn’t just physical abuse. It is any pattern of behavior used to maintain power and control over the other partner in a relationship and it is not OK. If you feel trapped in a relationship, please know you are not alone. Domestic violence affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 10 men and does not discriminate based on gender, sexuality, religion, education or economic status.
